Dr. Mahendra Sharma is a Board Certified radiologist since 1996 and joined Zwanger-Pesiri in 2007. 

Dr. Sharma obtained his BA from New York University in 1986. He obtained his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1990.

Dr. Sharma completed his internship in pathology at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center in 1991 and his residency in diagnostic radiology at Nassau County Medical Center in 1995. He completed his fellowship training in Body Imaging at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center in 1996.

Dr. Sharma has written abstracts on topics including pulmonary tuberculosis and advanced CT and MRI in diagnosing cerebrovascular disease. He also co-wrote a publication on neuroimaging of meningeal disease in 1994.
