Dr. Steven Mendelsohn is the Medical Director for Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology. He has been with the group since 1983. Dr. Mendelsohn is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology since 1984.

Dr. Mendelsohn was enrolled in the Accelerated Honors Program in Medical Education at Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pennsylvania State University and received his MD degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1979, receiving honors in the areas of Family Medicine, Surgery, Neuroanatomy, Neuorophysiology, Orthopedic Surgery, Biostatistics, and Psychiatry.

He interned at the University of Michigan - Department of Surgery and the University of Illinois - Department of Pathology, and performed his residency training in radiology at North Shore University Hospital - Cornell Medical Center from 1980 until 1983.

Dr. Mendelsohn is the former Chairman of the Department of Radiology for North Shore University Hospital at Plainview.
