Sheryl S. Elkowitz M.D., D.A.B.R. is a board certified physician in Diagnostic Radiology, specializing in Women's Imaging. For the past several years, Dr. Elkowitz has focused her attention on breast imaging and breast biopsy procedures, including digital mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided biopsy.

Dr. Elkowitz received her BS (Summa Cum Laude) at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. She received her MD degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan in 1986. Dr. Elkowitz's post-graduate training included internship and residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center in New York. She completed a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Schneider's Hospital at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center. During this period, she authored and presented numerous publications and scientific exhibits. Dr. Elkowitz has held academic positions at both Albert Einstein Medical Center in New York and SUNY-Stony Brook Medical School.
